BMM invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from reputed manufacturers of copper sulphate for supply of 7500 tons per annum to BMM & Gamsberg with the potential to increase to 15000 tons per annum, quantity equally distributed on a monthly basis. Copper sulphate is used in our process for beneficiation of Zinc. It is preferred for Copper sulphate production facility to be established on site at the Gamsberg operation. Copper sulphate can be produced from Copper in concentrate from the BMM plant (ca. 6 kt per annum). Vedanta is prepared to partially fund a technical feasibility study. Interested Parties should have proven track record with the necessary financial, and technical capability to supply copper sulphate. Specifications of the copper sulphate to be as follows: Cu min 25% (CuSO4.5H2O min 98.3%), Crystal size 98% less than 2mm (powder) and dissolution time at 250C less than 20 min.
