VZI invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from reputable and competent global mine developers with large scale mining experience in open pit and underground mines. The partner will extend the mine, extracting ore of approximately 0.8Mt from the open pit and 5Mt from underground. The scope includes a complete mining operation, including development, drill and blast, ore handling, crushing and stacking:

• Mining & hauling waste and ore from SKZ open pit to crusher stockpile and waste dumps
• Establish underground access and supporting infrastructure from an in-pit portal (~440 mRL bench).
• Achieve sustainable ore production of ~300 ktpa after staged ramp-up.
• Mine using Longhole Open Stoping (LHOS) with engineered backfill or Drift-and-Fill (DAF) with OP first then UG sequence preferred.
