The appointed EoR will provide independent engineering oversight and technical assurance to ensure the safe operation, structural integrity, risk management, and regulatory compliance of the TSFs. The primary objectives are to:

• Assess TSF stability and performance.
• Review monitoring data and operational practices.
• Identify and mitigate geotechnical and operational risks.
• Provide preventative and corrective engineering recommendations.
• Support continuous improvement of the Tailings Management System.
• Ensure compliance with South African legislation and industry best practice.
• Deliver annual safety and stability reports.
• Provide specialist support during incidents and emergency situations.

Interested parties must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in providing EoR and tailings management services for mining operations.
• Access to qualified geotechnical engineers and tailings specialists registered with relevant professional bodies.
• Strong knowledge of and experience implementing the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM).
