Swartberg is an underground copper and lead operation, with silver produced as a by-product, accessed through a decline mining system. The selected Business Partner will be responsible for providing the people, equipment, materials, systems and technology required to execute the Life of Mine plan and support the Tank Hill and SOS expansion projects.
Production is planned to increase from approximately 800 ktpa in Year 1 to 1.4 Mtpa from Year 2 onwards.
The successful Business Partner will be responsible for:
- End-to-end underground mining operations, including development, drilling and blasting.
- Ore and waste loading, hauling and tramming to designated stockpiles and crushers.
- Ground support installation and maintenance of associated mining infrastructure.
- Provision, operation and maintenance of TMM fleets, workshops, spares and consumables.
- Mine services, including road maintenance, dewatering, ventilation, lighting and dust suppression.
- Compliance with all MHSA requirements, VSAP standards and BMM environmental obligations.
Demonstrated capabilities should include:
- AI-enabled fleet dispatch and production optimisation.
- Real-time production monitoring and digital KPI dashboards.
- Predictive maintenance and fleet health analytics.
- Personnel and fleet tracking systems, connectivity solutions, fatigue monitoring and collision avoidance technologies.
- Advanced analytics to improve safety, productivity, recovery and cost performance.
- Autonomous or remote mining solutions, where practical and appropriate.
