Metal in concentrate (MIC) needs to maintain a moisture content of 9 % to meet market customer requirements. To achieve this target the MIC must be consistently under shed. Currently there is 7000 tonnes of MIC storage that is under shed wherein moisture content is under control. There is an extra storage capacity of about 7000 tonnes which is not under shed. A shed is required to be installed on this extra storage capacity. Over and above providing controlled moisture conditions for MIC the shed will also provide extra buffer storage in the event that there is disruption in the transportation of MIC to the export market. If the extra storage with shed is not provided there is risk of loss of production as the Plant will stop for lack of storage space.
